Project developed and performed for The Cultural Rucksack, Tour in Northern Norway 2009/10
This workshop encouraged curiosity and wonder, helping participants discover the extraordinary patterns and beauty within nature – to see the world in a grain of sand and to explore the connections between the micro and the macro. It highlights how art and science meet, inspired by the work of Leonardo da Vinci, who united artistic, scientific, and philosophical thinking far ahead of his time.
We do not always see the world as it truly is. The familiar can easily be overlooked, and appearances can be deceptive. By changing perspective, we can expand our understanding of reality. For example, what similarities exist between human lungs and trees? Could our planet be seen as a rotating seed within the vast solar system?
